Five minutes of prep gets you a noticeably better result.
A mobile detail comes to you, which means most of the usual "getting the car ready" hassle disappears — no driving anywhere, no waiting room. Still, a few minutes of prep on your end makes the visit faster and the result better.
Clear personal items out of the car. We vacuum and steam-clean everywhere, including under seats and in door pockets, so loose items (change, sunglasses, kids' toys, gym bags) should come out first. We're not going to rifle through your glovebox, but anything left in cupholders or on seats gets moved to reach the surface underneath.
Pick a parking spot with room to work. A driveway, flat parking space, or curb spot with enough clearance on all four sides is ideal. We don't need a hose bib or outlet — the rig is fully self-contained — just space.
Let us know about anything unusual. A recent spill, pet accident, or a modification like tinted windows or a wrap is worth a heads-up when you book, so we bring the right approach rather than guessing on arrival.
Don't wash the car yourself beforehand — that's what the exterior wash step is for, and pre-washing with the wrong product or a dirty sponge can actually add fine scratches we'd then need to correct instead of just prevent. Don't worry about vacuuming first either; a half-clean interior doesn't save us time, since we're going to do a full pass regardless.
You also don't need to be present for the whole appointment. As long as we can access the vehicle, you're free to work, run errands, or stay inside — we'll text when it's done, and you don't pay until you've walked the finished car with us.
Most Full Details run about 1.5 hours; a Full Exterior Wash or Maintenance Detail is closer to an hour. We'll text an approximate arrival window, set up on-site, and text again when the vehicle's ready for your walk-through.
No — we remove, clean, and replace floor mats as part of the service. You're welcome to pull them yourself if you prefer, but it isn't necessary.
Light rain isn't usually a problem since the rig is self-contained and interior work is unaffected — call or text if conditions look severe and we'll help reschedule.
Just remove anything valuable or fragile. We vacuum and wipe down the trunk as part of a Full Detail, so it should be reasonably clear, but a spare tire or factory equipment can stay.
