Cypress Canyon was built by Standard Pacific Homes starting in 2007, split into two sections — Cypress Canyon Vistas and Cypress Canyon Preserve — both under the Deer Creek Ranch HOA (unrelated to the separate Deer Creek Ranch neighborhood out in Dripping Springs, just a shared HOA name). Sidewalk-lined streets wind through rolling, canyon-view terrain on the edge of the Hill Country near Lake Travis, with two community pools, a basketball court, and a playscape.
The canyon terrain and proximity to Lake Travis mean more wind-blown dust and pollen settling on cars here than on flatter Cedar Park streets, especially on days with strong Hill Country winds. Being a single-builder, single-era neighborhood also makes the clear coat fairly consistent car to car, which keeps most Cypress Canyon details fairly predictable.
