The Hills of Lakeway is the original guard-gated golf community in the area — 600-plus homes, mostly built in the 1990s and early 2000s, with 72 golf holes spread across four courses, 18 tennis courts, pools, and a fitness center, all behind 24/7 security. No MUD taxes here, and pricing runs from $400K patio homes to custom estates well over $1M, though some of the older sections are starting to show their age.
Course-adjacent homes see the typical fine mineral overspray film from irrigation — cosmetic, and a Full Detail lifts it clean — while the community's age means more mature tree cover and sap buildup than Lakeway's newer sections. HOA rules can run strict here depending on the section, though that affects property upkeep more than anything about how we detail a car.
