Mayfield Ranch, off RM 1431, was built from 2003 to 2011 by DR Horton, David Weekley, Grand Haven, Meritage, Newmark, and Standard Pacific — homes average around 2,540 square feet on lots between 0.2 and 0.4 acres, noticeably more breathing room between houses than Round Rock's newer builds. One quirk worth knowing: the neighborhood splits between Leander ISD and Round Rock ISD depending on the address, so we don't assume which school zone a given street falls in.
The larger lot sizes mean more total driveway and walkway surface per home than a tightly packed subdivision, and the 2003-2011 build window means original driveway sealant is well past its prime on some streets. Nothing changes about how we approach the car itself — just something we keep in mind on surface runoff.
