Lake Pointe went in during the late 1990s and 2000s on Lake Austin, and it hasn't seen new construction since — limited inventory, mature trees, and a community pool and park that function as the real social center of the neighborhood. Homes run 2,000 to 4,000 square feet on roughly quarter-acre lots, off RR 620 near Highway 71, five minutes from the H-E-B Plus and ten from the Hill Country Galleria.
Because this is settled, mature-tree Bee Cave rather than a newer treeless subdivision, cars here tend to collect more sap and pollen buildup over a season than you'd see in Bee Cave's newer communities — and with Lake Austin close by, more humidity and occasional waterfowl residue on cars parked near the shoreline-facing streets.
