Emory Crossing is built exclusively by Taylor Morrison Homes, with first homes completed in 2021 and construction still underway off Ed Schmidt Boulevard. One detail that sets Emory Crossing apart visually from most other new Hutto construction: Taylor Morrison uses stucco accents rather than HardiPlank siding, giving the homes here a noticeably more upscale look than the typical new-build exterior in the area. Lots run 40-to-50 feet wide, and there's no community pool yet — an amenity center is planned off Emory Crossing Boulevard, along with future on-site commercial development.

Because construction is still ongoing, expect more dust and grit in the air here than in a settled neighborhood — we budget extra pre-wash time for Emory Crossing bookings as standard practice. Young landscaping also means less shade and more direct sun exposure on parked cars than you'd find in an older, tree-covered Hutto neighborhood.
