Stratford Hills is a small neighborhood on Lake Austin's west shore, just over the water from Redbud Trail and accessed by Stratford Drive. Most homes date to the mid-to-late 1990s, typically 4-5 bedrooms and 4-5.5 baths around 5,000 square feet on half-to-one-acre lots — though some run much larger, including one near 8,000 square feet, and four properties sit directly on Lake Austin's waterfront, including a 5-acre estate. The Stratford Hills HOA runs around $2,300 a year, and the area is a short walk from Redbud Isle Dog Park and across the lake from the public Lions Municipal Golf Course.

With several true waterfront estates in a neighborhood this small, we see a wider range of property scale here than almost anywhere else on our West Lake Hills route — some driveways serve a single car, others serve a small fleet. Lake Austin proximity also brings the usual mineral-spot buildup common to any waterfront property.
